Luxurious 2-bed, 2-bathroom apartment in small, friendly and incredibly quiet hacienda-style, low-rise condo. Nestled in the heart of Singapore's luxurious villa district in Bukit Timah/Holland Village, the development is surrounded by greenery and faces onto a large green park. You can only hear crickets and birdsong. The condo has a refreshing and clean swimming pool, which faces onto a pleasant garden full of kingfishers and other birds.
The flat is part-furnished. It is tastefully decorated with local Singaporean antiques from the early 20th Century and contemporary design classics. There is a large balcony with table, free parking and free wifi. Each bedroom has its own full, en suite bathroom. Each room has an aircon. The apartment is clean and spacious.
Excellent kitchen facilities include a Bosch washing machine, kettle, gas stove with four hobs, oven, and large refrigerator with freezer.
Windows and doors have mosquito nets, which is uncommon in Singapore, but it's very helpful for those of us who don't like to have the aircon on all the time and prefer to sleep with open windows. The apartment has a good breeze when you leave the windows open. There is a large terrace with a table and chairs for eating outside in the evenings. It overlooks the pool and garden.
The flat is suitable for singles, couples or couples with a small child. I prefer long-term rentals of 3 months+. Professionals only.
The condo is a 10-minute walk from Farrer Road MRT, the bus stop on Bukit Timah Road, and the Coronation Plaza shopping center. Local shops includes grocery stores Fair Price, The German Marketplace, and Eat Organic. Local French cafe Chopinette is a great place for brunch. Walk another 5 minutes and you're in Singapore's famous Botanical Gardens. Stop at Cluny Court on your way for excellent cafes and restaurants including Simply Bread and Da Paolo. Cabs can get you to Orchard Road or Tanglin Mall in 10 minutes.
If you want to be in the heart of town in 10 minutes, but still enjoy a peaceful and fresh environment, this is the flat for you. Here is a response from a friend of mine who stayed in my flat for a week while he was interviewing for jobs in Singapore and I was on holiday:
"It was nice to stay at your flat which I found quite charming: a low-rise block, peace and quiet, good natural light, spacious rooms, the garden (complete with kingfishers and other birds), pool etc, all attributes which I would look for in an apartment here.
